Welcome to Year 1 and 1/2!
Welcome to Albany and Elton's class page. In Albany and Elton, Mrs Moore, Miss Kataria and Miss Dogan will be working together. We can't wait to see you all in September
In Autumn 1 we will be starting of the term with our Learning Power lessons. This will help us to understand Year 1 and will give us lots of opportunities to get to know each other. Our curriculum in Autumn 1 will be 'Memory Box'. We will be looking at old and new toys and we will be doing something very exciting on Curriculum WOW day, we hope you enjoy it as much as we are looking forward to it.
Autumn 1 PE will be on a Tuesday. Children will need to come to school wearing their school PE kit.
Where Everyone Belongs
At Djanogly Sherwood we know that things are challenging and different right now we wanted to help by sharing some good resources. Here is a video you could watch and share with yoru children explaining how to talk to children and race and diversity. We will also be sharing lessons on Seesaw through some great books about diversity. We hope that this helps. Remember our strap line at Sherwood is 'Where everyone belongs'.

As you are going to be joining us in September and we will have not had chance to meet you beforehand, we would like to set you a little summer challenge to bring back to school with you in September.
We would like to know a little about you!
Please make a poster all about you. We have added some examples for you to look at.
This is your chance to tell us what you like, your favourite foods, colour, activities, who you live with, your favourite book and much more. It is up to you how you do this and what you include. You can do it with paper and colours or on the computer it is up to you. Have fun making it!
