Welcome to Autumn 1!
Welcome back to school. We hope you have had a lovely summer holiday and are ready to start Year Two. The year is full of lots of exciting events and we are looking forward to starting the year with you all!
Our curriculum theme this half term is 'Jurassic World'. Please look at our newsletter to find out about the key themes we will cover in Curriculum, English and Maths. The Homework menu gives children the opportunity to have a go at some activities. Please have a look at this below. Any completed learning can be submitted online to seesaw.
Our PE session will continue to be on a Friday. Please ensure that your child comes to school dressed in their PE kit.
All of the children will be given a reading book. We will change the children's books once every week.
Reading week - Kenya
This week as part of reading week the Year Two children have been studying Kenya. Our focus story was called Mama Panya's Pancakes. We made our own pancakes in school and sprinkled sugar on top. The children then wrote a letter to Mama Panya telling her all about our pancake making day! The children also learnt about Kenyan culture and art. We used water colours and crayons to infill patterns. Please look at some of our learning below.
