Our Leaders at All Levels framework ensures that pupil voice is genuinely embedded across every facet of school life. Through structured, meaningful roles, children develop essential life skills—public speaking, active listening, empathy, teamwork, and critical reflection—that prepare them to be confident, compassionate global citizens.

Our Core Student Leadership Teams

School Council

• Purpose & Impact: Elected democratically by their peers, School Council representatives serve as the central voice of our pupil body. They gather feedback from classrooms, propose ideas for school improvements, manage budgets for student initiatives, and lead discussions with school leaders.

• Key Focus: Democracy in action, civic leadership, and collaborative decision-making.

WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) Group

• Purpose & Impact: Championing inclusion, kindness, and belonging across the academy, the WEB Group ensures that every pupil feels safe, valued, and celebrated. They design peer buddy systems, support new pupils joining the school, and organise events during Anti-Bullying Week and Diversity Week.

• Key Focus: Diversity, inclusion, empathy, and peer support.

Oracy Champions

• Purpose & Impact: Communication is the foundation of leadership. Our Oracy Champions model high-quality talk, structured debate, and active listening across all subject areas. They lead school assemblies, host visitor panels, and help their peers develop articulate, persuasive speaking skills.

• Key Focus: Public speaking, debate, active listening, and confidence.

Reading Ambassadors

• Purpose & Impact: Reading Ambassadors foster a passionate reading-for-pleasure culture across the academy. They manage and curate our school library spaces, recommend books to younger children, host lunchtime story sessions, and help select new titles for year group book corners.

• Key Focus: Literacy promotion, peer mentorship, and library management.

Digital Leaders

• Purpose & Impact: As technology evolves, our Digital Leaders ensure our school community uses digital tools responsibly, safely, and creatively. They audit educational technology, assist teachers in computing sessions, and deliver workshops to peers and parents on online safety and cyberbullying awareness.

• Key Focus: Digital citizenship, online safety, and technology support.
