Leaders at all levels
Our School Council represents the views of all our pupils. It gives children the opportunity to make their voices heard and feel part of the whole school community.
Sherwood School Council is made up of members from each class in Year 1 - 6 and who have been elected by the rest of their year group. We have a Chairperson and Vice Chair to oversee the meetings. Meetings are held at least once every half term and are chaired by Miss Chapman. Ambassadors are tasked with bringing ideas from their year groups to the meetings, making plans, voting and debating ideas and then providing feedback to their classes.
School Council Ambassadors have been appointed for this year. They have had a say in things such as; behaviour rewards, after-school clubs and fundraising ideas. In 2021-22 they have successfully been involved in planning for 'Children In Need' where they helped raise £271.43 (November 2021).
