Our curriculum is underpinned by our vision ‘Where everyone belongs’. We are proud of our diverse school.
We have identified conceptual strands that run through out 'Curriculum to Inspire' and support our children to recognise and respect the diversity of the world around them. This starts with developing a strong understanding of our school community and local area. These are Nottingham and Power.
Nottingham
Djanogly Sherwood is a diverse school - children come from a broad range of backgrounds but live in Nottingham. We want our children to be proud of their city and understand its past in order to be responsible citizens of the future.
Power
Throughout the Djanogly Sherwood ‘Curriculum to Inspire’ children learn about different forms of power. It helps them to understand the British value of democracy and allows them to think critically, develop mutual respect and fosters tolerance of others.
